
Tech Evidence, Inc. is owned and operated by Mr. Harold Jones. Mr. Jones is a licensed and insured Private Investigator who specializes in high tech investigations, training, and consulting. Combining his extensive past experience as a sworn police officer with his strong knowledge and background in computer crime, Mr. Jones is highly qualified to assist law enforcement, legal professionals, corporations/small businesses and private individuals nationwide in dealing with multiple computer crime issues.
Law Enforcement and Court Testimony Experience
Mr. Jones has spent 25 years as a sworn police officer. He has worked as a road officer, a Detective, a Sergeant, an Instructor, a Computer Crime Investigator and a Computer Crime Trainer. During this time, he twice received the Medal of Valor which is the highest award given to a living police officer. He is currently assigned to computer crime investigations for a city police department in the mid-western section of the United States which is not directly related or tied to Tech Evidence in any way.
Professional Experience
Mr. Jones has instructed federal, state, and local law officers from all over the U.S. including FBI agents, Secret Service agents, U.S. Customs, U.S. Postal Inspectors, and numerous local police officers. He has instructed computer crime courses for SEARCH Group, Inc. in Sacramento, California, the former Internet Crimes, Inc. in Madison, Connecticut, Sinclair Community College in Dayton, Ohio and is an instructor for a state police academy in the mid west. Mr. Jones has an Associates Degree in Computer Crime, A Bachelors Degree in Security Management, and is currently completing a Masters in Homeland Security
Mr. Jones has been a speaker and trainer for the High Tech Crime Investigators Association (HTCIA) International Training Conferences across the country since 2001.
Mr. Jones assisted in the authoring of the online computer crimes training program for the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Glencoe, Georgia. He also co-authored a chapter on Internet Safety for the book, “Raising Safe Kids in an Unsafe World” located at www.yellodyno.com. He has an active part in a national training video used in several countries, which is used to train law enforcement and judicial members on Domestic Violence globally.
Most importantly, Harold Jones is actively doing what he lectures on. He does not just read and teach. He actively takes part in investigations of all types involving people, computers, or networks.
